Lady Chevrons shift focus to T20 series

Story by Anashe Murombedzi

The Zimbabwe Women Cricket team, the Lady Chevrons will be hoping for a quick turnaround of fortunes on their tour of Thailand as they shift focus to the T20 series which gets underway this Tuesday.

The Lady Chevrons will wrap up their bilateral series against Thailand with a four match T20 series against the hosts in Bangkok.

After losing the One-day international series, Zimbabwe will be hoping for a change of fortunes in the shorter version of the game.

The Lady Chevrons are however focusing more on game time rather than results having been inactive on the international front since last year.

The Gary Brent coached side started slowly after a 78-run defeat in the first ODI before Thailand denied them a leveller in the second match and completed a series whitewash with another victory this Sunday.

The final T20 match will be played this Friday.

Zimbabwe is taking advantage of the tour to prepare for the World Cup Qualifiers later in the year.
