Green Fuel targets top 8 finish

Chisumbanje-based Premier Soccer League club Green Fuel are gunning for a top-eight finish this season after a disappointing debut season last year.
Green Fuel are leaving no stone unturned in their quest to do better than their debut season.
In that regard, the club has signed seven new players ahead of the 2024 PSL season.
Former Yadah forward Jerry Chipangura, goalkeeper Nedrick Madera who was with Hwange, exciting young winger Tinotenda Meke who dazzled defenders when he was turning out for relegated Cranborne Bullets are some of the players who have joined Boys Dze Nharo.
“It’s an amazing experience to be part of this youthful squad that has a lot of ambition. The goal is to improve from where we left last season because it’s all about helping one another,” said Goalkeeper, Nedrick Madera.
Striker Jerry Chipangura said, “We are hoping to finish in the top four and to at least get a single cup. Our preparations are going well and with the coming onboard of new players the team is now balanced.”
Coach Rodwell Dhlakama confirmed that they have added seven players but could not shed more light on some of the names saying they are finalising negotiations.
“As a new baby in the Premier League, we have learnt a lot to improve on how we should adapt and adjust to the demands of the PSL but given the scenario that we finished 10th in the previous season, I think we did very well. We have lost 7 players to other clubs but we have also brought in a fusion of experienced players like Jerry Chipangura and Nedrick Madeya who we believe will make a good impact in the team. We have addressed our squad weaknesses and all we can hope is for the best,” he said.
