Epworth development projects hailed

Story by John Nhandara

Councillors under the banner Councillors for Ensuring Development are reaching out to various wards in Harare Metropolitan province mobilising voters for the ZANU PF party.

The ZANU PF affiliate group is convinced that the ruling party will win resoundingly in the forthcoming harmonised elections due to its sound economic policies.

The affiliate group has since embarked on a voter mobilisation campaign in different wards with Epworth Constituency being its first port of call.

“We are going to different wards preaching the gospel of development. We want five million votes for the President and we have already started mobilising. We have different projects which we will be undertaking,” Councilors for ED national chairperson, Rogers Nhari said.

Various developmental projects have been undertaken by the Second Republic in the Epworth constituency.

Epworth Ward 4 councillor, Cecilia Mupakami noted, “We are undertaking various projects such as chicken rearing and the pace of development in the constituency is satisfying.”

“We have five boreholes which are now providing piped water schemes. Furthermore, we have projects to undertake so as to empower our communities. We want the party to win the elections,” said Epworth Ward 7 councillor, Last Muzamhindo.

The constituency has also seen the commissioning of a clinic and a courthouse have already been constructed in the constituency as well as the sinking of boreholes under the Presidential Borehole Drilling Scheme among other projects.
