The murder suspect who allegedly killed a Marondera woman has been arrested in Mutare after attempting to commit suicide.
The suspect Echfel Musaida Gora aged 26, who fled the scene on the fateful day, was arrested this Monday.
He is alleged to have killed his girlfriend identified as Sharon Mushowo aged 26 of the Nyameni suburb.
Gora is said to have attempted to commit suicide by drinking an unknown poisonous substance before being rushed to a local hospital.
Zimbabwe Republic Police Mashonaland East Spokesperson Inspector Simon Chazovachii confirmed the arrest of the murder suspect.
The suspect is admitted at a local hospital where he is receiving treatment under police guard.
