YOUTHS from across the globe who are in the country for a cultural exchange program have described Zimbabwe as a safe tourist destination and a must visit for all.
Youths from Germany, Kenya, Liberia and South Africa who toured Victoria Falls this Saturday say they could not have enough of the majestic waterfalls.
“Zimbabwe is such a beautiful country, everyone should just give it a shout. My experience in Victoria Falls has been great, because I enjoyed beautiful nature, it’s an extraordinary thing to be here and I really love it. I just recommend everyone to come to Victoria Falls.”
“The place is so amazing, I have not seen a place like this. Everyone should see this place because it is so nice especially youths, they should come here to see the place, it is one of the best places I have seen.”
“I’m really inspired a lot , I don’t think I have seen a beautiful place like Victoria Falls in Africa let alone in the world. It’s an asset to the country, an asset to Africa. This is part of the education I will take home; these are the critical stories that we need to be told, that needs to be shared because this not an asset not only to Zimbabwe, this is an access to the whole world.”
Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Chairperson Youth Desk Focal Point Mr Hopewell Mupanganyama said the exchange program is key in marketing destination Zimbabwe.
“We want to appreciate government’s support to the young people, especially in our effort to promote public diplomacy. We thank the government for creating a conducive environment for youths to play a role in terms of economic diplomacy. It is our duty as youths to play a key role in complementing government efforts in championing development in the country,” he said.
Zimbabwe has escalated efforts to engage and re-engage with the international community to enhance economic development, including the tourism and hospitality industry.
