BULAWAYO giants Highlanders are set to clash with FC Platinum at Barbourfields Stadium in an epic encounter Match Day 11 fixtures at the weekend.
Since the promotion of Pure Platinum Play, Bosso have played second fiddle to the Zvishavane-based side who have gone a step further in mastering the art of silencing Amahlolanyama in their own backyard.
The two sides play a similar flair of passing football, setting the stage for a potential thriller.
Highlanders head coach Kelvin Kaindu is refusing to read much on how FC Platinum started their campaign which has seen the former champions managing two wins and eight draws and are yet to record a loss this season.
“We face a tricky customer on Sunday. No matter how they have started they are a good side. Records even indicate that we have not done well against our opponent but we hope to carry our momentum and turn the tables,” Highlander’s head coach, Kelvin Kaindu said.
The two sides are separated by three points with Bosso on fourth on the log, while FC Platinum are eighth.
Match Day 11 fixture begins this Saturday, with log leaders carrying their form to their home ground in an entertaining game with TelOne.
Green Fuel date Manica Diamonds at the Green Fuel Arena, while Caps United will be out to put a new order in their home clash against Herentals.
Ngezi Platinum welcome ZPC Kariba at Baobab as Bikita Minerals host Yadah at Gibbo.
On Sunday, Kwekwe United face Chicken Inn at Bata stadium, as Scottland and Simba Bhora face off at Rufaro.
Triangle hosts Dynamos at Gibbo.
