THE Warriors are not letting their guard down as they take on Namibia in the return leg of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers slated for Monday at Orlando Stadium in South Africa.
Zimbabwe grabbed their first win of the 2025 AFCON qualifiers after edging Namibia one-nil at Orlando Stadium in South Africa on Thursday.
A Khama Billiat first half penalty was the difference with the Yadah starman now tied on 18 goals with Dream Team star forward Agent Sawu, but 20 shy of Warriors all-time top goal scorer, Peter Ndlovu, who netted 38 times.
Fresh from a bruising battle, the two teams meet again on Monday at the same venue for the reverse fixture.
While the first match was played in an empty stadium Thursday, fans will be allowed on Monday, giving a big boost to the Warriors.
“We definitely need fans, you saw our match felt like a match played during the COVID-19 era, but on Monday, we are happy to have fans and we know they push the players and playing here is like playing at home we have lots of supporters and we call upon them to come in their numbers,” said the Warriors Coach, Micheal Nees.
Zimbabwe have no injury worries as they prepare for the reverse fixture which will kick off at 6 pm on Monday.
