THE visiting United Arab Emirates delegation has expressed optimism of a productive outcome of the ongoing three-day Government Experience Exchange Programme.
Emerging from a closed-door meeting with President Emmerson Mnangagwa at State House in Harare this Thursday, the head of the visiting UAE delegation and Deputy Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Competitiveness and Experience Exchange, Mr Abdullah said he is confident that the exchange programme will yield positive results.
He said, “The UAE is there for Zim especially when it comes to government exchange programme which is why we are here today, and we will be pursuing our partnership with Zimbabwe. The work-streams will ensure that quality services will be provided to citizens and packages will be created for the business community. We will ensure quality service and improvement in speed of service to the ordinary person.”
He also spoke glowingly of Zimbabwe’s beautiful nature, saying more can be done to publicise Brand Zimbabwe.
“The minute you land in the land you experience smiles and positive vibes, I look forward to my next visit to see how we can better package this country in different areas,” he said.
Zimbabwe and the United Arab Emirates have agreements in the fields of mining, pharmaceuticals, and agriculture, with Abu Dhabi being Harare’s second-largest trading and investment partner after South Africa.
