ZIMBABWEAN international, Marshall Munetsi was one of the best performing foreign-based players at the weekend with a solid display as his French Ligue One side, Reims collected a point against giants, Lyon.

Marshall Munetsi played the entire 90 minutes in his favoured defensive midfield role on Saturday and thwarted Lyon on several occasions.

The rock-solid midfielder received the highest rating on the French Ligue One match statistics as he helped his side collect a point to stay within touching distance of the top.

Reims are ninth with 39 points three behind Nice, which currently occupies the last European qualification slot.

Fellow countryman, Tinotenda Kadewere came in as a second-half substitute for Nantes but failed to find the back of the net as his club lost 2-1 to Nice on Sunday.

Elsewhere, Warrior’s prospect Leon Chiwome made his English Premier League debut for Wolves this Saturday albeit in a 2-0 loss to Aston Villa.

Chiwome played 84th minutes in his first appearance in the English topflight league while fellow countryman Tawanda Chirewa also featured in the game after coming on in the second half.

Midfielder, Andy Rinomhota, who had a difficult start seems to have put that past him as he features for English Championship side Rotherham United.

In the Belgian Pro League, defender Munashe Garananga put up another solid display for KV Mechelen against OH Leuven.

Winger Bill Antonio who plays for the same club is still out injured.
