Herentals, Manica Diamonds share spoils

Story by Anashe Murombedzi

THE Castle Lager Premier Soccer League Match Day Three kicked off with a share of spoils between Herentals hosting Manica Diamonds, which drew one-all at the National Sports Stadium this Friday.

Heading into the match, both Herentals and Manica Diamonds were chasing first victories in the PSL this season, but it was not to be following a one-all draw at the National Sports Stadium.

Manica Diamonds took the lead in the first half and were headed for a win before the hosts levelled matters in injury time to ensure no team walks away with maximum points

The two sides now have two points each after three matches.

Meanwhile, Premier Soccer League action continues Saturday when winless Simba Bhora take on Dynamos at the National Sports Stadium, while Sheasham host Yadah at Mandava Stadium in Zvishavane.

Bulawayo Chiefs are up against Black Rhinos at Luveve stadium and Cranborne Bullets will be at Baobab stadium for a date against Chicken Inn.

Sunday will be headlined by the clash between giants Highlanders and defending champions FC Platinum at Barbourfields stadium, while CAPS United will be back at the National Sports Stadium for a date against ZPC Kariba.

League returnees, Hwange battle Green Fuel at Luveve stadium, with Triangle are up against Ngezi Platinum Stars at Gibbo stadium.
