FC Platinum ready to switch off ZPC Kariba

Story by Courage Bushe

FC Platinum coach Norman Mapeza says he is not taking inconsistent ZPC Kariba for granted when his high-flying Zvishavane based side takes on “Kauya Katuruturu” at Nyamhunga Stadium on Saturday.

FC Platinum march into Saturday’s game against ZPC Kariba having gone for eight matches without defeat and five points adrift log leaders, Ngezi Platinum Stars.
Norman Mapeza’s charges who are in red hot form, are walking with a spring in their step and are eager to emulate last season’s success story in which they won the league title after a poor start.

With focus on retaining the title they have won four seasons on the bounce, Mapeza is hoping his boys will be at their best come Saturday.

“First of all I want to congratulate the boys on their massive win against Ngezi Platinum Stars last weekend. The win was good for us to close the gap and coming to our game with ZPC Kariba we know they are a dangerous team. After they dropped points against highlanders last weekend it’s going to be a difficult game for us, but at the end of the day we know what we want as a team. What is important for us is to win,” he said.

FC Platinum beat log leaders, Ngezi Platinum stars last weekend to move to second position and blow the title race wide open.
