DeMbare brace for Bosso

Story by Lawrence Trusida, Sports Editor

HARARE giants Dynamos are bubbling with confidence as they prepare for a clash of the titans against Bulawayo giants Highlanders at Barbourfields Stadium on Sunday.

DeMbare have not beaten Bosso in a league match since 2017 and will need to be at their best against a wounded Highlanders.

The Bulawayo giants are coming from two successive two-nil defeats at the hands of FC Platinum and Chicken Inn hence they are desperate for points but that is not deterring Dynamos.

Dynamos midfielder, Junior Makunike said, “It’s just a foot match like others. Yes, there is a lot of tension but we need to not worry about that. We have to stick to our game plan and make sure we capitalise on the chances that we will get but for us, we treat it just like any other match.”

Dynamos head coach, Genesis Mangombe who will be in charge in the Battle of Zimbabwe for the first time is calm about the situation.

“There is no pressure at all. It’s football just like any other but how we approach it is going to be key. We need to be at our best and carry a positive attitude into the match.”

Dynamos will miss the services of goalkeeper Prince Tafiremutsa and defender Donald Dzvinyai due to injury.

The gate charges for the encounter have been hiked with the rest of the ground set at US$5.
