FC Platinum wound up their preparations for the 2023 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season with a 2-nil victory over Masvingo United in a friendly match played over the weekend.
The Castle Lager Premier Soccer League 2023 season kicks off with a Castle Challenge match this coming weekend and several teams are making final preparations ahead of the new season.
The elite clubs had a busy pre-season, which entailed transfers, trainings and friendly matches.
Among the busy clubs were Champions, FC Platinum, who secured 2-nil win over Masvingo United in a warm up match.
Perfect Chikwende and Juan Mutudza secured the victory for Pure Platinum Play, who open the season with a Castle challenge match against 2022 Chibuku Super Cup winners, Bulawayo Chiefs at Mandava Stadium on Saturday.
Elsewhere, Dynamos also concluded their pre-season training with a friendly match against Division One side, Dulibadzimu FC in Beitbridge this Sunday.
Emmanuel Paga and Elvis Moyo were on target to ensure victory for the Harare giants.
Another giant, Highlanders had a trip to the border town of Plumtree where they faced Mainline for two encounters which they all won 1-nil.
Ray Lunga and McKinnon Mushore scored in each match.
