PREMIER Soccer League debutants, Arenel Movers are ready to compete in the topflight after unveiling their Genesis sponsored kit at Luveve Stadium in Bulawayo at the weekend.
The Sweet Boys, who are heading to the Premier Soccer League with their tails up after ending their Division One campaign undefeated, received a shot in the arm after a local firm, Genesis Sports, unveiled the team’s home and away kits in Bulawayo.
Arenel Movers Chief Executive Officer, Juma Phiri said they have added experience to their youthful team.
“We are in the PSL to compete and today’s ceremony is an indication that we mean business. We are ready for the league. We will be alternating Luveve Stadium and Barbourfields Stadium as our home grounds on venues.”
Genesis Sports are proud to be identified with the ZIFA Southern Region Division One champions.
“Our partnership with Arenel should see the side making history and we are happy to be associated with the championship winning brand. We are still on course to partner with other premier league clubs,” said Genesis Sports director, Zoro Damiso.
After seeing his side go down one-nil to Gweru based premiership returnees Telone, Arenel Movers head coach, Farai Tawachera says it was just a temporary setback.
“To be honest I wasn’t given the targets by the club but what I know is that we need to protect our stay. Obviously, there is still a lot of work to be done but we will get there, seeing it was one of our first and last pre-season friendly.”
Arenel Movers have roped in former Chicken Inn defender, Moses Jackson who has joined the likes of Chrispen Machisi, Timothy January and towering defender Herbert Dick Junior, son to former Amazulu star, Herbert Dick.
