No change yet at Harare Sports Club after the rains coupled with bad lighting forced play to be suspended at Harare Sports Club.

The rains continue to fall, with the covers firmly in place whilst it continues to be dark and gloomy.

Zimbabwe are on 78/3 after 20 overs with Joylord Gumbie on 40 not out and Sikandar Raza on 10 not out.

Earlier on Ireland won the toss amd put in the Chevrons to bat first, with Ireland eyeing a series victory whilst the Chevrons are eyeing to force a series draw.

With the Chevrons thrust to bat first, Graham Hume did not waste time for Ireland as he got the breakthrough (dismissing Tinashe Kamunhukamwe for one-run) with two runs on the board for Zimbabwe.

Takudzwanashe Kaitano (13) walked out to the crease and put on a decent showing together with Joylord Gumbie (40*) as the duo put on the best partnership (43 runs off 68balls) so far, but the former was run out in pursuit of a quick single.

Curtis Campher had the final wicket before the weather’s antics, as he trapped Innocent Kaia (5) lbw nine-runs later.

If play is to resume, Gumbie and captain Sikandar Raza will be the two men at the crease with Gumbie eyeing to make it to a deserved half-ton.

Before the match, Zimbabwe declared that all the proceeds from the match will be channeled to KidzCan Zimbabwe.

KidzCan Zimbabwe is a Humanitarian Child- Centered Private Voluntary Organisation dedicated to increasing the survival rate of children suffering from cancer and blood related disorders in Zimbabwe.
