THE Zimbabwe national senior football team, the Warriors were back in training this Friday ahead of their 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifier against Nigeria in Rwanda on Sunday.

The Warriors boycotted Thursday’s training session demanding their bonuses and allowances.

Friday was however a different day as everything went back to normal with the Warriors returning to training ahead of the crunch encounter against Nigeria on Sunday.

The players chose to focus on the match ahead.

Warriors striker, Tino Kadewere said, “We are only thinking about the match and nothing else, we took a point in the first match away from home that was positive but there are a few touches we need to make to be better against Nigeria, but we are building on that and we trained very well and soon the combinations will start coming out.”

Legendary former Warriors captain, Peter Ndlovu also watched the team as they went through their paces.

Zimbabwe drew nil-all with Rwanda in their first match on Wednesday, while the Super Eagles also shared the spoils with Lesotho in a one-all draw on Thursday.

The other two teams in Group C, South Africa, and Benin clash in Johannesburg this Saturday.
