A vendors’ revolving fund has been launched in Mutasa District as the ruling ZANU PF party steps up its empowerment drive.
ZANU PF has launched a revolving fund for vendors in Mutasa District as the ruling party walks the talk in advancing the empowerment agenda.
The vendors, who received an initial seed capital of US$ 7 000 are excited after the launch of the revolving fund expected to boost their enterprises.
“Some of the vendors who spoke to ZBC News said “We approached Cde Benza requesting US$2 000 as seed money to boost our businesses. We intended to use the money as a revolving fund. We are extremely happy after Cde Benza agreed and increased the money to US$7 000.”
“We want to thank Professor Benza for his vision to uplift the lives of vendors as he represents President Mnangagwa. If vendors are motivated like this, we will surely attain the five million votes target for President ED Mnangagwa.”
“We are now going to boost our business by increasing our products. We appreciate the support and this should translate into more votes in our area for Zanu pf.”
‘We were lost in Mutasa Central as we previously voted for the opposition. This year, we are looking forward to correcting our past mistakes and resoundingly voting for Cde Mnangagwa and Cde Benza.”
Mutasa ZANU PF DCC Chairperson Cde Washington Zihwihwi reiterated the ruling party’s commitment to empowering the citizenry.

ZANU PF Provincial Secretary for Legal Affairs, Cde Innocent Benza pledged the ruling party’s commitment to advancing the empowerment drive.
“This project is aimed at empowering our people as we don’t want to continue living at the mercy of those who imposed sanctions on us. The little that we have, we will continue giving our people including vendors and players in the entire informal sector. We are also rehabilitating roads and sinking boreholes as we target to ensure the Mutasa Central seat that is in the hands of the opposition returns to ZANU PF. We want the President to win resoundingly as well as councillors to ensure sustained development in our area,” said Professor Benza.
With the informal sector contributing significantly to the country’s economic well-being through employment creation, the latest initiative is expected to improve livelihoods countrywide.
