One person has died while seven others were injured in an accident involving a bus and a small vehicle in Mutoko this Tuesday.

The accident is a clear case of negligence and human error, as two buses were seen racing along the Harare-Nyamapanda road.

In a video circulating on social media platforms, the two buses, one belonging to Rimbi Tours and another under the Zebra Kiss stable are seen racing, with the other bus trying to overtake recklessly.

Zimbabwe Republic Police Mashonaland East Provincial Spokesperson, Inspector Simon Chazovachii confirmed the accident.

The body of the deceased has been taken to Mutoko hospital for post-mortem, while the injured are admitted at the same health institution.
