Harare giants eye league and cup double

Harare giants eye league and cup double

Story by Lawrence Trusida, Sports Editor

Dynamos believe they have the quality to go for a league and Cup double as they prepare to take on FC Platinum in the quarterfinals of the Chibuku Super Cup at Mandava Stadium on Saturday.

Lloyd Chigove knows all too well what he is getting his hands onto, as Dynamos prepare to take on FC Platinum at Mandava Stadium this Saturday.

Despite missing two key players, Donald Mudadi and Tanaka Shandirwa together with head coach Genesis Mangombe, Dynamos are going through their preparations for the crunch tie against FC Platinum in a buoyant mood.

Midfielder Mudadi is DeMbare’s top goal scorer with five goals, while Shandirwa has brought in the energy in the middle of the park.

However, Dynamos Assistant Coach, Lloyd ‘MaBlanyo’ Chigove, who is overseeing the team in Mangombe’s absence is not worried.

“This time around the quality that is at Dynamos can go places if they work hard, knuckle down, and show what they are made of Pound for pound we have better quality. Yes, we will be missing two key players but it’s the same for them as well, so we are not worried,” he said.

Dynamos travel to Zvishavane on the back of a one-nil derby win over CAPS United, while FC Platinum beat bogey side, Herentals two-nil, which should add spice to the encounter.
