THE Mayoral election for the City of Victoria Falls has been postponed again, amid reports of confusion within the opposition Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) party.

The election, which was slated for 10am this Monday, did not proceed as scheduled due to the absence of most of the CCC councillors, who are reportedly locked in a caucus meeting with their Matabeleland North provincial chairperson, Honourable Prince Sibanda.

Sources say Honourable Sibanda is angling for Councillor Prince Moyo to be the Mayor against the party’s preferred candidate, Councillor Ephias Mambume.

Councillor Mambume was the only CCC member who was in the council chambers by 10 am.
