India’s foreign minister says new countries want to join BRICS

TV BRICS – Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar said that the desire of new nations to join BRICS shows the value and usefulness of the association, reports ANI, a partner of TV BRICS.

As Jaishankar pointed out, the BRICS alliance was tested last year.

“We tested it last year in the market, asking how many of us want to join BRICS, and we got almost 30 countries who were willing to join BRICS. Clearly, 30 countries saw value in it, there must be something good with that,” he said.

The minister emphasised that the meetings and discussions held by the member countries of the association over a decade and a half have been useful for everyone.

The Munich Conference provides a unique opportunity for high-level debates on topical security issues. This year, it took place from 16 to 18 February.
