ZIMBABWE’S power generation capacity has improved significantly over the past week from around 1300 Megawatts to 1600 according to statistics released by the Zimbabwe Power Company.
Licensed Independent Power Producers (IPPs) are also complementing energy generation through feeding about 280 megawatts to bring the total generation to 1880 Megawatts.
The figure is close to the national demand which is estimated at around 2000 megawatts.
The development comes as good news for industry and wheat farmers who rely on electricity for production.
