Zimbabwe A overpower Botswana

THE Zimbabwe A Women’s cricket team emerged victorious once again after edging Botswana by 70 runs in their fifth match at the Kwibuka Women’s T20 tournament in Rwanda this Tuesday.

The Zimbabwe emerging team made four victories out of five games, courtesy of a 70-run victory over Botswana this Tuesday.

Botswana opted to bowl first and Zimbabwe A posted 139 runs in 18 overs, with Beloved Biza top-scoring at 31 and Kelis Ndhlovu contributing 25.

In response, Botswana only managed 69 runs in 18 overs, handing Zimbabwe A, a 70-run victory.

The win propels Zimbabwe A to third place in the eight-team tournament, with eight points, while Uganda remain unbeaten and top the table with 10 points.

Zimbabwe A will face Nigeria on Wednesday, looking to continue with their impressive run at the tournament.
