ZIMBABWEAN model, Pauline Marere is on cloud nine after she made it into the top three of the Miss Environment International Pageant held in India last week.
It was a case of beauty with brains as Zimbabwean beauty queen Pauline Marere was crowned Second Runner Up out of 23 countries at the Miss Environment International Pageant in India last Friday.
The beauty queen who arrived back home this Tuesday did not come empty-handed as she is fully equipped to share her experience.
“It was a great experience I had in India. I learnt a lot from pageants from other countries. One of the things I learnt is pageantry is taken as a serious industry in other countries and as an environment model I also learnt that there is a need to know more about the environment,” she said.
Marere who is no stranger to the industry after bagging the Miss Pan-African 2019 crown is now an Environment Ambassador running a number of conservation projects as the reigning Miss Environment Zimbabwe.
She is also convinced now is the time to take environmental and climate change issues to the forefront.
“So, since I have been crowned Miss Environment I have embarked on a mission to create a platform for the young generation to learn how to protect the environment,” she added.
The Philippines took the crown at the Miss Environment International Pageant, while Cameroon and Zimbabwe were the runners-up.
Other countries that were represented at the pageant include Sri Lanka, the United Kingdom, Colombia, Belgium, Mexico, and South Africa.
