THE Zimbabwe Handball Under 18 men’s team continued with their impressive form after they thrashed South Africa 41-13 in their second match of the International Handball Federation Trophy Zone Six championships at Sunrise Sports Club in Harare this Tuesday.

The young Zimbabwean squad left the opposition in the dust and proved themselves serious contenders in the International Handball Federation Trophy Zone Six championships.

From the outset, Zimbabwe were dominant in the battle of Limpopo, racing to a 7-0 lead within the first five minutes of the game.

South Africa struggled to match their opponents’ intensity and precision, with the hosts’ defence stifling any potential attacks.

By halftime, Zimbabwe had established a comfortable 21-6 lead, leaving the regional rivals shell-shocked.

Zimbabwe will be back in the court to face Malawi this Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the Zimbabwe Under 20 men’s team won 26-22 against Mozambique in a match played at the Chitungwiza Aquatic complex.
