OVER 200 women in Hwange have benefited from an empowerment initiative being spearheaded by the ZANU PF Women’s League.

The beneficiaries demonstrated the fruits of the empowerment programme through a showcase of different products after the training programme held in Hwange at the weekend.

“I thank the Women’s League for this training, I will grow my business,” noted one of the beneficiaries who spoke to ZBC News.

Another weighed in, “Things will never be the same again for me as I do business.”

The ZANU Women’s League reiterated the importance of self-sufficiency.

“This is about empowerment and ensuring our women do not lack,” noted ZANU PF Women’s League Political Commissar, Cde Maybe Mbowa.

Meanwhile, ZANU PF Women’s League Secretary, Cde Mabel Chinomona added, “When they raise prices in shops, our women should have an alternative. That’s why they are manufacturing Vaseline, lotion, detergents and many other products.”

Empowerment programmes have informed the basis of ZANU PF’s development agenda across the country.
