ZANU PF continues to pursue development projects

Story by Providence Maraneli

The ruling ZANU PF party says it will leave no stone unturned in its quest to transform communities as the country pursues a vision of an upper middle-income society status by the year 2030.

The umbilical ties between the people and ZANU PF was once again demonstrated in Bayethe Village of Umzingwane district this Saturday where hundreds gathered to celebrate the ruling party’s victory in the August 2023 elections.

The victory was attributed to unity of purpose by the people of Matabeleland South

Umzingwane legislator, Brigadier General (Retired) Levy Mayihlome said, “We are grateful that the ZANU PF led government is on the forefront leading in development issues. This ward voted resoundingly in the elections and this is attributed to unity.”

“We are so grateful for what the President is doing in terms of development and we will do our best never to disappoint him and we will make sure that Matabeleland South remains a ZANU PF stronghold,” said Matabeleland South Provincial chairman, Cde Mangaliso Ndlovu.

ZANU PF National Chairman, Cde Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri, who led the victory celebrations in Umzingwane, reiterated ZANU PF led government’s thrust to transform lives of the communities.

“You voted resoundingly for ZANU PF, we really appreciate it. Our President is always preaching unity, his emphasis that ZANU PF is bigger than all of us. Since our President came in in 2017, he has been preaching unity. I have heard that cattle are dying in silted dams, we are going to be prioritising desilting these dams especially using devolution funds,” she said.

ZANU PF won 9 constituencies out of 12 in Matabeleland South Province.
