President Mnangagwa to officiate at GZU graduation

THE Chancellor of the Great Zimbabwe University, President Emmerson Mnangagwa is expected to cap 4 899 graduands today at the institution’s main campus in Masvingo.

The graduands comprise of 3 133 females and 1 766 males.

3 715 will be presented with undergraduate degrees, 1 184 postgraduate degrees while six will be presented with Doctor of Philosophy degrees.

After the graduation ceremony, President Mnangagwa is expected to officially open the Great Zimbabwe University Innovation Hub.

The innovation hub is expected to become a catalyst for driving socio-economic change in Masvingo Province and the country at large through propelling innovations as well as amplifying efforts of already existing ideas and technologies like Agri-technology and future energy technologies.

The Second Republic introduced the idea of innovation hubs at all tertiary institutions to promote innovation and entrepreneurship.
