POLICE in Filabusi have launched a manhunt for a teacher, who allegedly ran amok last week and brutally assaulted the school head and other staff members at Amazon Christian College.
It is alleged that the school head, Mr Progress Ncube called Simangaliso Jamela to his office to give him a written warning, but this did not go down well with the accused who allegedly went on a rampage, assaulting the head and other teachers with a cricket bat.
The school head sustained serious injuries and is currently admitted at United Bulawayo Hospitals.
Police have since launched a manhunt for the accused who vanished into thin air after the incident.
Zimbabwe Republic Police Matabeleland South Police Spokesperson, Inspector Loveness Mangena confirmed the incident.
