President Emmerson Mnangagwa has visited the family of the late national hero, Cde Joel Biggie Matiza to pay his condolences following the death of Mrs Lilian Matiza last night in Harare.
President Mnangagwa said it is sad that Mrs Matiza, who now had the sole responsibility of taking care of the children following the death of her husband, has also passed on.
He assured the children of the late that his door is open and he will be there to assist them and they should not hesitate to speak out their challenges.
President Mnangagwa said they found it prudent to visit the family given that Cde Joel Matiza was one of them and executed his duties well during the time he served.
According to family spokesperson, Mrs Dorothy Mabika, Mrs Matiza, who had no known illness, complained of being dizzy on Sunday before being rushed to a local hospital where she died.
