The networking and exchange of ideas in business and art took centre stage at the Africa business seminar which kicked off in Harare this Friday.

The idea of growing African economies through enhancing small to medium enterprises was high on the agenda at the summit where more than ten African countries were in attendance.

A delegate from Lesotho, Tankiso Moahloli said, “I’m here and I’m happy we have united as Africans. I think we can unite and help each other grow and reduce poverty.”

“I’m here to integrate with other businesses. I hope i will get the best from here as we thrive to grow as a continent,” added another delegate from Zambia, Susan Kasema.

“I wish to see our countries form partnerships. I’m going to take whatever we have learnt here to my country,” said South African delegate, Mpho Lekgetho.

Event organiser, Ms Kelelo Dlamini noted the summit is the first step towards creating networks in Africa and beyond.

“We are here to show that as Africa we can do it. We have exhibitors who will showcase what we have in Zimbabwe as we encourage each other to work together and stand as one. We want to achieve a continent that is free of poverty,” she said.

The summit is an opportunity to showcase local cuisines, designs and music with a business dinner gala set for Friday night where Dino Mudondo and Willom Tight are set to perform.
