Dynamos – CAPS clash for silverware

A mouthwatering clash is on the cards this weekend as Harare giants Dynamos and CAPS United collide in a Chibuku Super Cup semi-final at the National Sports Stadium on Sunday.
It is the third Harare Derby of the season after Dynamos completed a double over CAPS United in the league.
The capital is set to be painted blue and green this Sunday as Dynamos face-off with city rivals CAPS United with their eyes set on clinching the Chibuku Super Cup.
The Glamour Boys will go into the match with a psychological advantage having prevailed over the Green Machine twice in the League this season.
Dembare is also in the hunt for a league and cup double.
Dynamos assistant coach, Lloyd Chigowe said, “ I think you have seen how we have gone with our business, so far the team has been very focused and obviously we expect that they keep it up with the trophy either in the league or the Chibuku super cup tournament but we are very much cognisant of what is at stake.”
With the league title way out of reach, rejuvenated Makepekepe who are on a four-match unbeaten run will be fighting to lay their hands on the Trophy as consolation for a largely poor season.
“The league is out of reach and the only thing left In our hands is the Chibuku Cup and we will try our level best to win this one because if we fail on this we have nothing else to give,” said CAPS United assistant coach, Tonderai Marume.
Meanwhile, straight from their cup game, DeMbare will head to Triangle for their clash against Manica Diamonds at Gibbo Stadium three days later.
The Harare giants who are on 49 points, eight behind log leaders Ngezi Platinum, will be hoping to collect maximum points and keep alive their hopes of completing a league and cup double.
