Democratic Official Party takes campaign to Mkoba North

THE Democratic Official Party (DOP) took its by-election campaign to Mkoba North constituency where party officials interacted with the electorate ahead of the plebiscite set for the 3rd of February.
It was a busy weekend for the DOP as the leadership took the party’s campaign to Mkoba drumming up support for their candidate Mr Patrick Tayiya.
“We are saying the time is now for the people of Mkoba North Constituency to choose wisely. We are here to deliver the victory they deserve. It is time people use their minds in choosing a leader who will make a difference in their lives. We are here to make sure that their lives are changed for the better. It’s a moment of doing things differently and Mr Tayiya will make sure that the people’s aspirations are taken care of,” said DOP president, Mr Harry Wilson.
Mr Tayiya says he is ready to provide servant leadership to the people of Mkoba North.
“I am coming to you the people of Mkoba North Constituency begging for your votes. It is only you who can make Mkoba better by voting me into office. I promise you to take all your grievances to the highest office so that our problems can be attended to. It is high time that you the people of Mkoba North Constituency get the leadership that you deserve,” he said.
The country is bracing for six National Assembly by-elections set for Saturday after some Citizens Coalition for Change legislators were recalled by the party’s interim Secretary General Sengezo Tshabangu.
