Delimitation report: President summons Parly

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has summoned Parliament to an extraordinary sitting on Friday for the tabling of the preliminary delimitation report handed over to him by the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) last week.

In a statement, parliament has since notified legislators of the special business set for this Friday the 6th of January 2023 starting at 9 am.

Parliament, however, indicated that due to accommodation challenges still being experienced in Harare, a few members will attend the session physically, while the rest will attend virtually.

After receiving the delimitation report last week, President Mnangagwa had according to the law, seven working days to facilitate its tabling before parliament.

The report will also be required to pass through the Senate before final approval by the President.
