Chamisa dumps CCC
Story by Wellington Makonese
EMBATTLED opposition leader Advocate Nelson Chamisa has announced his resignation from the Citizens Coalition for Change party.
In a letter posted on his official X handle, Advocate Chamisa says he is stepping aside to work on what he termed “fresh things”, promising an update on his next step.
Advocate Chamisa, who lost to President Emmerson Mnangagwa during the 2023 general elections, has been battling to control the opposition outfit after its Interim Secretary General Sengezo Tshabangu initiated a series of recalls on National Assembly and local authority representatives.
The recalls have resulted in by-elections held on the 9th of December last year, while some will be conducted on the 3rd of next month.
