Outgoing Equatorial Guinea Ambassador to Zimbabwe His Excellency Jose Ela Ebanga Mbang bade farewell to President Emmerson Mnangagwa at State House in Harare this Saturday.
Ambassador Mbang says his 8-year tenure in Zimbabwe witnessed growing collaboration across various sectors, particularly in agriculture.
After serving and representing Malabo in Harare for the past 8 years, Equatorial Guinea’s top envoy to Zimbabwe spoke warmly of Zimbabwean people, highlighting their welcoming culture.
“I came to thank His Excellency for the good hospitality during my tour of duty. I have good memories of Zimbabwe which I will take with me back home. The people here are very humble, this is a country that once you come, you don’t want to go back home,” he said.
During his stay, Ambassador Mbang was impressed by Zimbabwe’s performance in the agriculture sector and the various initiatives to maximise on the country’s land and water bodies in pursuit of food security.
He expressed his country’s keenness to tap into Zimbabwe’s farming knowledge.
“The agriculture sector is very important between the two countries, Zimbabwe has a lot of experience in agriculture and I wish Zimbabwe can help to develop our agriculture sector back home.”
With Zimbabwe currently looking into the Muzarabani oil and gas project, Ambassador Mbang said his country can share notes with Zimbabwe on that sector.
Under the Second Republic, Zimbabwe continues to cultivate and maintain cordial and mutually beneficial relations with the community of nations.
