HIGH Court Judge, Justice Emilia Muchawa survived a shooting incident after unidentified gunmen targeted her Tuesday night.
The incident reportedly took place at her place of residence in Westgate, Harare.
It is reported that Justice Muchawa was metres away from her home when two men whose unmarked vehicle was parked close to the house jumped out and shot at her official Range Rover.
She, however, escaped unhurt.
Zimbabwe Republic Police national spokesperson, Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the incident saying investigations are underway.
Assistant Commissioner Nyathi said police will issue a detailed statement once investigations are complete.
The incident comes at a time when the nation is witnessing a surge in people falling victim to trigger-happy individuals, with three people having lost their lives last month after Jaison Muvevi of Wedza ran amok.
