ZIMBABWE will look to clinch the three-match One-Day International series when they take on Bangladesh in the second ODI at Harare Sports Club this Thursday.
The Chevrons head into the contest with confidence after producing a superb bowling performance to secure a 25-run victory in the series opener and take a 1-0 lead.
Defending a modest total of 141, Zimbabwe defied expectations with disciplined bowling, sharp fielding and relentless determination to dismiss Bangladesh for 116 and claim one of their most memorable ODI victories in recent years.
The win followed Zimbabwe’s historic Test series triumph over Bangladesh, further highlighting the team’s growing confidence and resilience under pressure.
Attention now turns to Thursday’s encounter, where the hosts have an opportunity to wrap up the series with a match to spare.
Zimbabwe will once again rely on their in-form bowling attack while hoping for an improved batting display after struggling for runs in the opening fixture.
Bangladesh, meanwhile, face a must-win contest to keep the series alive and are expected to respond strongly after failing to capitalise on a favourable position in the first ODI.
The second One-Day International will be played on Thursday at Harare Sports Club, with the third and final match scheduled for Saturday.
