Two notorious thieves from Zvishavane town have been arrested for stealing TelOne copper cables worth more than ZW$360 thousand.

According to the police, on the 10th of this month the two suspects, Samson Sibanda and Wishes Marwise were arrested along Zvishavane-Buchwa Road where they stole telephone copper cables from a Shabani Mine telephone line.

It is alleged that after cutting and removing the cable, the two hid it in a nearby bush with the intention of collecting it later in the evening.

However, their luck ran out after a tip off by members of the public, leading to their arrest.
