Zim’s media landscape fast changing: Minister Mutsvangwa

THE Government is satisfied with the continued transformation of the media sector after a number of television and radio channels came on board while there are programmes meant to push the country towards vision 2030.
The Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting services, Senator Monica Mutsvangwa toured a number of exhibition stands at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) this Thursday where she noted the importance of the media in contributing towards vision 2030.
“There is a lot which is coming out from the stands, exhibitors are re-thinkng and re-imaging. In the broadcasting sector we are seeing new things coming on board,” said Minister Mutsvangwa.
With the 2nd republic being all about accountability, Minister Mutsvangwa commended media practitioners for playing an effective role in informing citizens about government developmental intiatives.
“The second republic is all about accountability to the people, and the media is playing an effective role informing the citizenry,” she said.
Some of the stands which she toured include the ZBC, Broadcasting Authority of Zimbabwe (BAZ), Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting services, Zimpapers and Transmedia.
