Zimbabwe service commissions salute heroes

Zimbabwe Service Commissions have joined the nation in saluting the country’s gallant sons and daughters of the country who sacrificed their life for the liberation of the country.

In a statement, Dr Vincent Hungwe, who is the Chairperson of the service commissions, that include the Public Service Commission, Defence Forces Service Commission, Police Service Commission, Prisons and Correctional Service Commission, noted that in celebrating the rich human capital that Zimbabwe has, all members should shun selfish and self-enrichment impulses and instead deliver outcomes that make the sacrifices of the country’s heroes and heroines worthwhile as envisaged in the New Dispensation’s Vision 2030.

He said the liberation war victory should inspire Zimbabweans to unite against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dr Hungwe also commended government workers for remaining not only at the forefront of the fight against the pandemic but for having also continued to provide other much needed essential services to the public.
