THE Under-21 Women’s Hockey Team succumbed to a disappointing 5-0 defeat to USA in their second World Cup match in Potchefstroom South Africa this Saturday
After winning their first match 2-1 against Canada in their opening World Cup Campaign, Zimbabwe headed into a tough assignment against a threatening foe United States of America in their second match.
Zimbabwe’s first win tag was dashed out by USA, who overpowered them to succumb to a 5-0 defeat.
It was a repetition of the 2016 Junior World Cup when Zimbabwe lost 10-0 to the familiar foe.
However, Zimbabwe will wind up the pool A matches when they face Netherlands who won 11-0 over Canada.
Zimbabwe hockey player Alexi Terblanche believes they have a potential of bouncing back.
