Zim under 19 cricket team set to kick start its 2020 World Cup campaign

Zimbabwe under 19-cricket team is set to kickstart their 2020 world cup campaign, with a clash against Bangladesh this Saturday.
The build-up to the junior cricket extravaganza has been encouraging for the young Chevrons who overcame South Africa and New Zealand in a quadrangular series used as part of preparations for the under 19 World Cup.
Young Chevrons Head Coach, Prosper Utseya will be hoping his charges begin their World Cup campaign on a high note as Zimbabwe seeks to set the tone for a fruitful tournament being hosted by South Africa.
The Young Chevrons squad in South Africa is being rated as one of the strongest to be assembled but it is their on-field performance which will come under scrutiny with a clash against Bangladesh on Saturday.
A washed-out warm-up against England provided somewhat of a dent to the Young Chevrons preparations but prior action in a quadrangular series which saw them finish third may well have given head coach Utseya ample time to assess his charges.
Several of the country’s top cricketers such as Tatenda Taibu, Hamilton Masakadza, and Brendan Taylor sharpened their skills from under 19 level, a vital platform in the growth of emerging talent.
