Zim to host African Regional Science, Technology & Innovation forum

ZIMBABWE is set to host the second African Regional Science, Technology and Innovation Forum slated for the 24th to the 25th of this month in Victoria Falls.
The forum which will see delegates, scientists and students from various countries attending, is aimed at emphasizing the importance of Science, Technology and Innovation towards the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals.
Speaking to ZBC News, the minister of Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation, Science and Technology Development, Professor Amon Murwira said the event it’s a great opportunity for Zimbabwe.
“The government of Zimbabwe together with UNECA and UNESCO ROSA are organizing the 2nd African Regional Science Technology and Innovation Conference to be held under the theme 2020-2030: A decade to Deliver a transformed and prosperous Africa through the 2030 Agenda and Agenda 2063,” he said.
The Forum will precede the Africa Regional Forum on Sustainable Development.
The forum will be a high level panel discussion and parallel sessions covering contribution of Science, Technology and Innovation to the attainment of SDGs under the subthemes which include, People, Prosperity, Planet, Peace and Partnerships.
