Zimbabwe-Rwanda investment conference set for March

ZIMBABWE and Rwanda are poised for further economic and trade cooperation, with the two countries set to hold a trade and investment conference from 24th to 26th of March in the East African country’s capital, Kigali.
The programme is being spearheaded by Zimbabwe’s export promotion agency Zimtrade.
Driven by the spirit to explore vast economic opportunities between the two nations, Zimbabwe’s export promotion agency Zimtrade is spearheading a trade and investment conference slated for March in Rwanda.
Deputy Minister of Foreign affairs and international Trade Honourable David Musabayana welcomed the progressive initiative, describing it as a multifaceted approach that will see the two countries complementing each other in their economic aspirations.
“The economic synergy that we are about to embark on with Rwanda is going to give the Zimbabwean economy the impetus for transformation,” he said.
Rwandan Ambassador to Zimbabwe His Excellency James Musoni said the partnership is the first of its kind in Africa with the two countries offering unique and valuable economic opportunities.
“Rwanda has experienced sustained high economic growth over the years and is ready to share with Zimbabwe these experiences for a mutually beneficial association,” he said
The Rwanda-Zimbabwe investment and trade arrangement resonates well with the aspirations of the second republic’s upper-middle-income economy by 2030.
