FOR the first time in many months, Zimbabwe this Saturday recorded zero Covid-19 deaths, bringing hope to the nation as the COVID-19 fight continues.

Last month, the virus ravaged the country with an average 27 deaths recorded on a daily basis bringing the total number of Covid-19 deaths in January alone to 837 deaths compared to 244 in February.

The cumulative number of deaths now stands at one thousand 463 out of 36 thousand and 58 positive cases and 32 thousand 590 recoveries.

Over 15 000 frontline workers have so far been vaccinated under phase one of the Covid-19 vaccination programme, amid high expectations of the Covid-19 positive cases further going down.
