Zim ready to host African Parliamentary Union Conference

THE Deputy President of the Senate, Honourable Lieutenant General Retired Mike Nyambuya says Zimbabwe is ready to host the 78th African Parliamentary Union (APU) Conference to be held in Victoria Falls in November.

Honourable Nyambuya announced this at the just ended APU Conference held in Rwanda from the 10th to the 11th of this month.

He thanked President Emmerson Mnangagwa for acceding to the request by Parliament to host the coveted conference.

Established in 1976, the African Parliamentary Union is a continental inter-parliamentary organisation, that seeks to promote the unity of action among parliamentary institutions of all African States.
