ZIMBABWE and India continue to cement bilateral ties focusing on strengthening engagement in pharmaceuticals, ICT, agriculture and extension of credit lines.
This Friday the Indian Ambassador to Zimbabwe, His Excellency Vijay Kanduja paid a courtesy call on Foreign Affairs and International Trade Minister Honorable Frederick Shava.
Emerging from the meeting the Indian dignitary revealed impending bilateral engagements and extension of credit lines.
”We discussed a number of issues that we are contemplating with the Minister Shava, we expect progress in health, lines of credit , coalition for disaster resilience and scope of cooperation. We have already set incubation centres in the country,” he said.
The Indian Minister of State and Parliamentary Affairs, Honorable Vellamvelly Muraleedharan, is expected in the country to further review areas of engagement.
Trade relations between Zimbabwe and India date back before independence with engagements extending to several spheres.
