ZBC’s Janet Munyaka laid to rest

The late ZBC Diplomatic Correspondent Janet Munyaka who succumbed to covid-19 on Saturday was buried at Glen Forest cemetery Monday afternoon.

For years, Janet Munyaka covered burials and memorial services, but today she became part of the script as close family members and friends came to bid farewell to the veteran broadcaster who was dearly loved and will indeed be greatly missed.

Because of covid-19 regulations, there was no body viewing and only a few people who included Ambassador Christopher Mutsvangwa and the Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, Senator Monica Mutsvangwa attended the burial at Glen Forest cemetery.

“Janet was a hard worker and did his job thoroughly and factually. She was one of the best journalists in the country and raised the ZBC flag wherever she went. She will indeed be greatly missed,” said Hon Monica Mutsvangwa.

According to family, friends and workmates, the gap left by Janet will be difficult to fill.

Janet is survived by her husband Jackson and four children.
