ZANU PF mourns Ambassador S. K. Moyo

The ZANU PF revolutionary Party joins His Excellency the President and First Secretary, Cde E.D Mnangagwa in mourning the untimely passing on of Cde S.K Moyo who was the Party’s Information and Publicity Secretary and Party Spokesperson at the time of his death, acting Secretary for Information and Publicity, Cde Mike Bimha has said.

In a statement, Cde Bimha said Ambassador Moyo was a seasoned Party cadre who had wide experience in Government, having traversed a number of Ministries which included Industry and Commerce, Information,
Mining and Energy as well as Tourism and Environment.

“Despite his vast experience and admirable track record, he remained humble, jovial and approachable. He had a high sense of duty and his loyalty to the Party and authorities was unquestionable.

“He travelled widely in the region and beyond thus he gained a broader outlook that presented itself as a resource to the Party as we cultivated cordial relations with the outside world,” he said.

Cde Bimha added that notwithstanding his ability to sustain an argument, Ambassador Moyo was eloquent, articulate with a knack for addressing varied conversations sensibly.

“His unwavering, selfless and patriotic nature would see him yearn to come back to work in order to fulfil his call to duty even when he was unwell.

“His experience with and in the media fraternity saw him guiding members of the Fourth Estate never to stray from the truth in their discharge of duty as would time and again hear him talk about how the pen was mightier than the sword during a time when the regime change agenda continued to rear its ugly head and threaten to destabilize the gains of the liberation struggle which he, like many other gallant sons and daughters of  Zimbabwe fought for.”

He noted: “We will sadly miss his contribution, hard work and comradeship at the ZANU PF Headquarters. He fought a brave and good fight and deserves to remain in our memories for a long time as we emulate his impressive track record that he lives behind. A man of Cde Moyo’s  attributes can never die, but can only depart for higher responsibility.

“The Party and staff wish to convey our deepest and heartfelt condolences to the Moyo family, and in particular to his wife, Mama Moyo and his children on their untimely loss. May they find comfort in our Party and Nation’s indebtedness to him for the work he did before, during and after the liberation of our great country Zimbabwe.”
